Yes, if you have a compatible application capable of opening them. Microsoft Office 15.26 and newer are 64-bit.

All Macs are already 64-bit. The upgrade for third party apps will not take effect until the next operating system after Mojave. You should be prompted to upgrade those apps, or look for upgrades from the developer.
32 bit and 64 bit apps work with Mojave and previous operating system. If you upgrade beyond Mojave 32 bit apps will no longer work. Apple computers have been 64 bit for several years.
