See https://faq.whatsapp.com/en/iphone/ or contact WhatsApp about anything to do with their App. A web search indicates that they do not formally support dual SIM with iPhone. Not saying you cannot do it as I don’t know, but that’s not an Apple issue if not, that’s a WhatsApp issue.
