Safari is frozen

My new iMac just updated the software, and now the last screen I opened in Safari is frozen. I can't close it. I used Firefox as my browser to get here. I was using Firefox as an alternate browser. Maybe that's what caused this problem?

Have you tried opening Activity Monitor to view the Safari processes? To close Safari, select it under Process Name and then click on the X in the upper left hand corner, follow the prompts.
