ipad 5th generation charges slow

My iPad 5th generation charges much too slow. I use the power brick that came with my iPad, and have always used it. However, I purchased a longer charging cord from a company I can’t quite remember the name from a while back. I know it was compatible with my iPad however. Sadly, the cord broke, and I have since purchased one from a company called ANKER, and have been using it for the past few months. It is supposed to work with Apple products, as well as deliver a fast charge. Sadly, my iPad continues to charge incredibly slow. I do use my iPad a lot, while it is charging, so this may increase the charging time. However, even when I leave it alone for a an hour to charge, it is much too slow. I heard using a Mac charging cord / brick may increase the speed at which your iPad charges. I don’t know if this is true, I will leave it up to you experienced guides to help me. Also, if using this ANKER brand charger is negatively affecting my iPad in any way, please tell me. All in all, I hope you guys can fix my slow charging speed issues.

Honestly, Anker is a reputable brand and won't likely cause any harm to your iPad. In terms of charging times, it all depends on how low the charge is when you start charging and you've already admitted you are using the iPad while it charges. Rule of thumb on charging an iPad from a low charge to completely charged will typically take from 4 - 6 hours, which means even longer if the iPad is being used at the same time. The Anker cable won't likely provide a faster charge than the Apple cable at all. You can certainly use the Mac Brick and cable, which may charge slightly faster, but the iPad's charging intake is controlled, so throwing more juice at it won't make a huge difference in charging times.
