(org.apache.httpd): Service only ran for 0 seconds. Pushing respawn out by 10 seconds.

I have upgraded the mechanical HDD to SSD, restored from TM backup and now have the System Log spammed by messages such this:

May 24 20:01:31 server com.apple.xpc.launchd[1] (org.apache.httpd[4121]): Service exited with abnormal code: 1

May 24 20:01:31 server com.apple.xpc.launchd[1] (org.apache.httpd): Service only ran for 0 seconds. Pushing respawn out by 10 seconds.

All seems to be working fine, including the Websites.

Is it possible that I've got another Apache server installed?

Hi, XPC is a technology for cross-process communication. It basically defines a way 2 running processes can talk to each other.

These processes may be full-blown Cocoa apps, or they may be little background services without any UI.

A lot of apps turn out to spawn multiple processes, like a menu bar app without a Dock icon that continues to run when the host app quits. Examples: Day One, 1Password, Arq. That does not mean they communicate via XPC. They might as well only share the same data.

But notice how 1Password’s menu bar app can unlock the main app when you enter the password and vice versa? That could be an indication of XPC.

To see which apps use XPC services:

$ find /Applications/ -name XPCServices -exec ls -lsct {} \;

Does Activity Monitor give any clues?
