i have four authorized devices and itunes tells me i can't have more than five devices

I'm trying to authorize a new device and deauthorized down to four, still itunes won't let me

i dont see all my authorized devices I downloaded itunes on a new lap top, it told me to authorize it so i can access my library, i did so, it says i already have 5 devices authorized. i opened my account and only show 3

I removed devices from my account and deauthorized other devices from my Apple iTunes account and it still says I can't authorize my account because there are too many devices. Please advise. How can I authorize my iTunes account? It keeps saying I have too many devices on the account, but I went to the 'account' tab and removed all of them.
