Wrong app for opening watch
Instead of the watch app to get into what preferences I need for my watch, I’ve got the activity icon which does nothing. Please offer some help to rectify this. Thanks

If you setup an Watch, you have the Watch App...have you searched for it? Use iPhone to search for content - Apple Support
If in fact the Watch App was deleted after setting up the Watch, you should be able to go the the App Store, and re-download the Watch App.
