Apple watch series 0 stuck on checking for update

I Have an apple watch series 0 that i have been trying to pair, but needs to be updated and it just gets stuck on the "checking for update". i know that the watch will not accept the watchOS 5, but not even the WatchOS 4 shows.

have tried the good restart watch and restart phone, but no luck.

have reset the watch and tried again, but got the same results.

Is there anything i can do ? is my watch unusable now?
