System stands! The device closes 43% battery!

If the laptop is shutting down at 43% battery left, then you likely have a failing battery. Option click the battery icon on the menu bar and see if the status condition reports "Normal" or "Good". Anything else means the battery is failing.


If the battery status is normal, then try an SMC reset. You can also try running the Apple Hardware Test which may be better able to determine the battery's health or if the system has another hardware problem.
