Can't sign in to itunes, app store

For some reason I can't sign into my imac apple accounts (app store, itunes, imessenger). Everytime l sign in it requires a verification code, which pops up on my iphone but no window pops open on my imac to enter the code. how do i resolve this?

If you see a password box, enter the password (ABC) followed by the code (123) or ABC123.
