My XR iphone that I bought in November has an issue with its screen. It keeps flipping through apps and swiping across when I am not even touching the screen. I can't leave any apps open or it flicked through them when I am trying to do something on a different app.

Yes I plan to, thank you. I just wanted to double check and see if this was a frequent issue that I could sort myself! But I think it must be a fault with the touch screen.
