iPhone to iPad Pro USB C Photo Transfer

It would be really nice if the USB C to Lightning cable allowed the transfer of Video shot on an iPhone to be transferred to the iPad pro so I don't have to wait on wifi to upload said video to the cloud and then download from the cloud to my iPad. That would be a huge time saver. Maybe something could be done in iOS 13 to facilitate this?

Any reason you don't just Airdrop from the iPhone to the iPad?

Faster than waiting for the video to upload to iCloud. And no need to for cables. Can even be done if there is no Wifi around, and won't use cellular data.
