My computer won't let me adjust the display brightness at all - pressing the keys no longer works (every other key works perfectly fine, so I don't think anything's wrong with the keyboard), and there's no option to adjust screen brightness when I go to System Preferences and click Display (as shown below)
It just started happening a few days ago. Any advice?

See if holding down down the fn key + F1 or F2 changes your brightness.
If so go to System Preferences > Keyboard, and toggle the "Use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys". You'll want it off (probably), but toggle it as maybe the setting got confused.
Thank you for replying! I tried it, but it didn't work. All the other function keys are working, so I guess it's not a keyboard issue. Thanks again though!
