Screen for Apple Watch

It looks more like you seem to have scraped/removed the finish from the edge.

Not sure much can be done except for maybe changing the screen.

Reset your watch by pressing in the crown and side button until you see the Apple logo, then release both,

Did you perhaps tear the plastic protective covering when you removed it from the box? If yes use some tweezers to grab part of the plastic and pull it off.
