Keyboard Issues - Double Spacing, or None at All.

I have began having issues with my one-month-old MacBook Pro.

I purchased this MacBook Pro 15" from Best Buy with the extended Apple Care+.

I am not going to correct any errors in this post to allow you to see my issue:

Last night, while drafting a long email, I began to have issues with my Macbooks space bar. Sometimes it will act as I have pressed the key twice, and sometimes not at all.

I did some quick internet browsing to see if there was a quick fix I could do, but it seems even the most careful of persons (with a keyboard protector) still run into these issues.

I have been very careful not to eat, drink, or do anything that could get crumbs, hair, water, etc. under my keys, and I knew this was a common issue with this model of Macbooks.

I begin college in the fall, and was planning to use my MacBook Pro 15" with the 555x graphics, 16gb ram, and 256gb of storage (with an addition 2TB LaCie drive) as my daily driver.

I am at the point where I cannot give up my MacBook for 2-3 weeks (it seems this is how long it takes apple to repair even the most simple issue that most consumers can do at home).

I am not sure what to do at this point.

Any tips, comments, suggestions, etc. would be helpful as I do not want this issue to get any worse.

Thanks.

(Edit: It seems restarting helped a bit, but did not solve my issue).

There is a keyboard service program if you qualify—
