I have just ordered an iPod Touch, before I receive it I would like to buy a case for it but I don’t know what Generation the newest iPod Touch is, doesn’t say on information & tech specs but I wish to have a cover ready for my new iPod to go straight into when I receive & don’t want to end up with a case that doesn’t fit. I believe that the iPod I’m having delivered is the latest iteration but what Generation is it?

7th generation.
Doubtful cases are out yet, but given that the outward physical appearance and dimensions seem to be the same, any case for IPT 6 should work.
Check with the case seller, though, to be certain.
