Resident Printer Drivers for Epson Stylus Photo 1270 Inkjet Printer

Hi All,

I've been trying to set up my 10year old A3 printer to my mac, without any luck as there isn't a current resident printer driver available.

Epson have advised I should contact Apple to request the new printer driver compatible with MacOS Mojave.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Kind regards

The great news is that your "Epson Stylus Photo 1270" is a model listed as supported by the Gutenprint open-source driver library for Mac:

These drivers typically work extremely well.

Awesome! I do think it may be worth getting a new printer at some point. New ones, including by Epson, have drastically cheaper ink options and the ink lasts much longer. I'm not sure if they are better about trying up/getting clogged or not.

Personally, I'm the type who does only do color printing in fits and spurts which is why I long ago switch to color laser. I hated having the ink dry up like you're experiencing.
