When will the cellular carriers in South Africa be able to support the Apple Watch esim functionality in order to use the Apple watch separately from the iphone.

At this time the official list of networks supporting Apple Watch cellular does not include South African networks. Keep an eye on Apple Watch - Carriers - Apple to see when your network in SA has added support.
