Do you want to backup an iPhone or iPad? Then enable the iCloud backup on the device.

The iCloud backup of mobile devices (iPad, iPod touch, iPhone) is the only iCloud backup, that Apple offers. There is no iCloud Backup for computers. For computers you can use iCloud to sync your, photos, documents, and data between devices, by storing them in iCloud and syncing them to all devices, to keep the data on the devices in sync and identical. As the items in iCloud are the working copies and always updated across all devices, they are no backup. You cannot recover deleted items from iCloud. But iCloud will come in handy, if your device is lost or stolen, but not if you accidentally delete photos or other data.
