Cannot send or receive email on MacBook Pro

Nothing was changed on computer. This began intermittently to happen but now I cannot send or receive at all. Any advice appreciated.

Verify with your email provider there is not a server issue on their end—this would be beyond your control.


You can get a sense of this logging into your account vis-a-vis a browser, this would be independent of the Mail.app
