Ipod support service is not installed

Itunes won't recognize my iphone no matter what I do.

I've completely uninstalled/ reinstalled itunes. It, my phone, and Windows are all up to date with updates. My computer recognizes my iphone and can import photos from it. I've tried connecting with multiple cords in all my different ports (all of them had the computer recognizing the Iphone but not itunes) and each time the phone was unlocked and I selected the 'trust this computer' option with the input of my lock code.

On the computer, the dialogue will come up asking if I want Itunes to connect to the Iphone, but when I select 'yes' this error comes up.

I have done everything reccomended and nothing works. I'v searched for the ipod support service thing and it keeps bringing up results about the mobile device service but the diagnostics says that specifically IS working so I really don't know what to do at this point. I'd LOVE some assistance.

If you installed iTunes from the Microsoft Store in Windows 10 you may want to remove that version and reinstall using the iTunes64Setup.exe file from https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/.
