Battery health increased with factory reset

I purchased my iPhone XS on November 2018 and I m using this device as my regular daily driver. It was when I reset all the settings and data’s few days back and I got the battery health at 98% but prior to this it was 97% which means a rise in 1% after the reset done. So my doubt or rather question is that is it normal to gain some percentages of battery health after the factory reset? Or is there was some software issues that showed one percent less prior to reset. Please note that the same thing happened to my iPhone 6s and that time it was nearly 4% of increment. Both the devices are running on iOS 12.3.1. Any idea please convey. Thanks.

The truth is that sometimes iOS detect the "battery health" incorrectly.

I spoke to some people who know a lot about Li-Ion batteries and they all say that you shouldn't really rely on the Battery Health you see in iPhone statistics. What really matters for the health of the battery is a number of charging cycles it has been through. The lower the number, the healthier the battery is.

One cycle of charge is when you charge the battery from 0% to 100%. If you place your iPhone on a charger at 50% and charge it all the way up, then you complete only half a cycle. So the best thing you could do to get the most out of iPhone's battery is:

a) never let it drop to 0%, Li-Ion batteries hate that

b) charge with authentic cables and power adapters

c) charge whenever you feel so

d) reduce the amount of charging cycles, for example, charge it when the battery reaches 20% so you won't go through full cycle
