How to share existing News + subscription with Family Sharing. Do you have to turn on Apple News + “on” in Family sharing and how? It doesn’t work with Purchase Sharing “on”

It should, but it doesn’t work as expected. On the iPad I had to go through the purchase and eventually got a message that I get for free as already purchased by family member. Not the user experience I was expected. Texture was so much better!

If you use Family Sharing, everyone in your family will automatically have access to Apple News+ after you subscribe.
It would seem that it should just work.
