MacBook Air not connecting to internet in China

I was able to connect to internet for first couple of days. Then setup a VPN to access Google drive. Then suddenly everything stopped. And now can't even connect to the internet. Can anyone advice me how to get back online?

You may need to create a 'second (admin) user account' to set up new or changed configuration

that now does not work in China ~ & then re-set to original settings the first one you started with.

This may only serve to test the theory that something there in China may not like your VPH.

Other settings may affect your ability to connect to internet -- to include local blocking, etc.

Simple troubleshooting may alleviate the issue behind this, too. Have you tried Safe mode startup?

Other resets may (or not) help. ~ Problematic symptoms are hard to distinguish from actual issues.
