12.4 Software for all ETA?
I am trying to upgrade from a 6S Plus to a XMax -- my 6sPlus has 12.4 software but the XMax is only updating software to 12.3.1 -- any idea when the 12.4 software will be out for all so I can restore from my back up?

This explains how to remove the beta and restore your backup.
How to install or uninstall iOS beta software - Apple Support
If the iPhone 6S+ backup was created while it was running iOS 12.4 which is beta software- and it sounds like it was - you will have the issue I described.
Demo’s solution, and indeed what you should have done but apparently did not, assumed you created your backup while you were still using officially released software on your iPhone 6S+.
iOS 12.3.1 is the current version. Any later software is only available in beta.
Beta software, as well as future unannounced events, cannot be discussed here.
I believe JLYNNANDERSEN is asking how to restore a backup that was created using the as-yet unreleased beta software. That is indeed a problem.
no i have backed up my 6sPlus to my icloud and itunes with no issues - however because the new XMax phone i have bought only has 12.3.1 and my 6sPlus has 12.4 it will not let me restore on the XMax...
Yes, I misread the question. I assumed the backup was created before installing the beta. My apologies.
I've certainly done my share of similar misreadings. I understand completely. Thanks.
