This message will appear if the Time Capsule disk has been erased, and you are starting over again with a new backup.

Will also appear if you have changed the name of the Time Capsule drive.

The message can also appear if you have seen a message like this on your Mac:

If one of these conditions apply.......Use this disk to start a new backup.

Don't back up if none of the above examples apply, because someone may be trying to trick your computer into backing up to the wrong disk. Get in touch with an IT professional to come out and check your network.
