Issues resetting password on Mac book

It’s been over a month since I’ve uses my MacBook

today I used my normal password and it wasn’t working. I try to reset it , it kept on saying “there was an error communicating with I cloud” then it says restart again. I did that for about 10 times and still giving me the same response. I work on my MacBook and I really need to use it

Have you set up iCloud Keychain system preferences > iCloud , have you written every password for your iCloud mail address , web mail address ( could be gmail , yahoo etc ) , if you have used air port express the base station password .

You are trying to reset the admin password from recovery mode the password in terminal is reset by entering resetpassword and click enter key .

You have not given any information do you use secondary authentication account or two factor authentication account or file vault is enabled or not see this article https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT202860
