Will extended periods of connection to power adapter degrade battery life?

Will battery performance on the iPad degrade if I keep it connected to the power adapter for 6 - 7 hours every day?

MacBook Pro, iPhone 4, Mac Mini, iPad 16 GB 3G + WiFi, HTC Droid Incredible

Back in the old days (2005....LOL), this would be an issue. Don't worry about it. However, using the iPad battery to power your house might not be recommended. 😀

Thank you for your responses. I wanted to make sure that this was OK. I know that many batteries do not do well if they are constantly charging. Newer devices turn off charging and switch to direct power when batteries are charged and there is another power source available.
