Unfortunately, once a SIM Card (a small card that identifies your cellphone) is affiliated to an iPhone that has iMessages enabled, it's required to have iMessages disabled from your old iPhone.

You may need to go your cellular provider to have a couple of things done, because you need to Remove the SIM Card in your new phone and put it back in your old iPhone. If you go back to your cellular provider, make sure you take both your New Samsung & your Old iPhone with you, when going to your cellular provider.

If you are able to remove the SIM Cards yourself (or your cellular provider needs to), there are 10-steps that are needed to be completed to resolve this issue.

  1. Power down both cellphones.
  2. Remove the SIM Card from your new Samsung cellphone.
  3. If there's still a SIM Card in your old iPhone, remove that and put the SIM Card from your Samsung into the iPhone.
  4. With the Samsung SIM Card in your iPhone, turn your iPhone On.
  5. Click on your settings icon.
  6. Scroll down to Messages and click on that.
  7. In the Messages Setting menu, at the top is the iMessage setting, turn it Off.
  8. Exit the Settings & Turn Off your iPhone.
  9. Remove the SIM Card that you put into your iPhone (which was from your Samsung), back into your Samsung phone.
  10. Finally, turn your Samsung phone On.

Those are the 10-steps that need to be completed to fix text messaging issues, when switching from an iPhone to another brand.
