There is no mention of it in the tech specs. It looks like the only real difference between the 6th and 7th gen (Beyond being available in larger storage sizes) is a processor upgrade

There is no face or touch ID on the iPod Touch 7th gen.

Other than an internal CPU speed bump and double the RAM of the previous 6th gen iPod Touch, everything else about the 7th gen iPod Touch is exactly the same as the previous 6th gen model.

Nothing else has changed.
