Hi everyone. I have an iPhone SE and I want to do keynotes presentation to my stundents using the hdmi setup the school already have. With that idea, I was thinking using the apple TV peer to peer connection; is it possible? I never tried it. I was going to buy a Apple TV HD.

Yes, that would work.
You would need to have wifi and bluetooth enabled on your phone and then it will be able to discover the Apple TV, then it will create an ad-hoc connection and you would be able to mirror. Just be aware that the phone will need to be fairly close to the Apple TV in order to maintain connection.
It may be best to go to an Apple store and try it.

Yes, the purpose of peer to peer is for situations when one doesn't have access to wifi and/or can't connect. It uses bluetooth for discovery and then it needs wifi on so it can create the ad-hoc connection. Be aware that if you were to use any data that it will be using your phone's connection so if you have a cap on your mobile plan that's something to be aware of. However, if you are just mirroring keynote presentations you should be fine.
