not able to backup iphone on mac

i'm not able to backup my iphone 7plus 256gb on my mac.

data to be backed up is around 80gb and empty disk space is around 160gb.

still msg is promppting of empty disk space.

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 12

Reboot both computer and device, try again. Failing that try backing up the device to iCloud. See also If your iTunes backup couldn't be completed or you can't restore from a backup - Apple Support.
