For some reason, Spotify keeps opening up when I restart my Mac, or after a system update like just now.
It is not in my Login items (there are none there in fact) and it loads even when it was not running before I restarted.
Any help?

FWIW, there is a setting in Spotify's Advanced Settings to launch Spotify automatically. Disable it.
User Login Items:
StartUpHelper (Spotify - installed 2019-05-21)
(Modern Login Item - /Applications/Spotify.app/Contents/Library/LoginItems/StartUpHelper.app)
