I can't sign in to imessage, whenever i try to put in my apple id email and password i get nothing for about 30 seconds then 'there was an error when signing in to imessage' i've tried many different things but they just don't work.

Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.
Try a restart.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Try a forced restart.
i've tried all three of those things, none of them have worked.
