iPhone XS won't turn on

I shut off my iPhone XS for travel and when I tried to restart by pressing the side button it would not turn back on. I have tried the quick volume up & down and then pressing and holding the side button with no success. I also connected to iTune and tried to restore the phone. iTunes downloaded the software but when finished it cycled back the the "iTunes detects an iPhone in recovery mode. You need to restore this iPhone...." which I tried again but it recycled back to the same "recovery mode need to restore" message.

How do I turn my iPhone back on so I can restore from the iCloud? Thank you.

The process must have taken longer than 15 minutes. After that your device exits recovery mode.

You might still have to try once more and eventually it should work.

Sometimes i had to go through it 4 times.

If the issue persists, you can try another usb-port, another cable or another computer and even go to apple store or service provider but i don't think that it will be necessary.
