NTFS HDD can't write with Tuxera or Paragon
I can't get Paragon NTFS or Tuxera to work on my High Sierra 10.13.6
After some trial and error, I've come to note that it could be the kext being blocked.
Whenever I get to the Tuxera pref plane, a pop up appears telling me to go to Security to Allow, however, when i go to the tab, the "allow" button doesnt appear. (pics below)
I am able to mount my NTFS Hdd using both Paragon and Tuxera when SIP is disabled.
However when it is enabled, it just does not work.
When using Paragon, i followed their FAQ on their website
https://kb.paragon-software.com/article/4797
Nothing works.
when i run the cmd sudo kextutil -vvv /Library/Extensions/ufsd_NTFS.kext
i get this
Defaulting to kernel file '/System/Library/Kernels/kernel'
Kext rejected due to insecure location: <OSKext 0x7ff007e121e0 [0x7fffadc84a90]> { URL = "file:///Library/StagedExtensions/Library/Extensions/ufsd_NTFS.kext/", ID = "com.paragon-software.filesystems.ntfs" }
Diagnostics for /Library/Extensions/ufsd_NTFS.kext:
It seems like i can't get the kernel installed properly or somewhere along that lines.
i really do not want to disable SIP just to have this work.
Any ideas out there?
Im not too sure if my case is similar to another case here, but running the same script doesnt work
