How do I talk to Apple without a serial number? I’m having trouble with my MacBook, and to get support it once my serial number. But it’s not working

serial number At Apple Trade-in, you have to enter your serial number to swap your device with a newer model. In my case, this a late 2015 27" iMac. However, the software says my serial number doesn't exist... what is the cause here?

You can find the system serial number on the Bottom Case. You may need a magnifier to read it.
