Searching iCloud files by content

should I be able to search files (in this case, an ms word document) residing on iCloud by content? I seem to be unable to do so; or at least a document I created is MIA.

How to search files within iCloud Drive: via the web interface Even in 2022, it appears that you can't!?!? My first question is: is that true? My second question is: if so, do others in the support community consider this a major flaw in Apple's product? Many use cases where this is absolutely vital. Thanks.

What are you using to do the search? Have you tried reindexing Spotlight?
