Running OS X Yosemite & want OS Mojave

Currently running OS X Yosemite (10.10.5). When I try upgrading to macOS Mojave, it says "this cannot be installed on this computer. My computer is compatible, I don't understand why it's not allowing me. Any advice besides buying a brand new computer?

Your Mac probably does not meet the specs for Mojave:

Try High Sierra:

Get macOS High Sierra.
