Does anyone know if Apple accepts broken Apple Watches for $$$? Or, if Apple doesn't take broken watches, is there anywhere that does? My watch screen is cracked and I don't want to just throw it away. Thank you.

The Apple trade-in/recycling program will not provide you any Apple Store gift card credit for an Apple Watch with a broken screen. They will send you a free return-shipping box through their recycling partner page (https://www.apple.com/shop/trade-in) or you can drop it off at any Apple Store.
Since it does have a lithium-ion battery you definitely should not dispose of it in the regular trash.
