I have worked with apple support and issue was suppressed by adding new test project in same library.

Looks like there is multiple issues related to location of library and creating project anywhere except iMovie library.

i recently started creating new libraries to segregate my various type of projects to avoid multiple project loads and library corruptions.

I think I will stick to iMovie library going forward.

Crashing limited to one project usually indicates corruption in that project. Crashing has been reported recently by several users after they added an emoji to a title. It seems to be an incurable bug that irrevocably corrupts the project, leaving the only option to create a new project and start over.

I don't know whether the emoji insertion applies to your situation since you didn't mention it in your initial post. In any event, what you can try is go to the iMovie Backups folder and open a backup of your iMovie library that pre-dates when the issue occurred. To get there, go to the Finder menu and follow this file path: Go/Home/Library/Containers/com.apple.iMovieApp/Data/Library/Caches/iMovieBackups. when you open the Backups folder you will see a list of previous backups of your iMovie library. Click on one that is dated prior to the crashing occurring. iMovie will open in that library. Go to your project and see if it will open without crashing.

Another thing you could try is to use your Time Machine Backup, if you have one, to restore your iMovie library to an earlier time.
