Disabling 3rd party cookies on iPhone IOS 12(XR)
I see a lot of confusion with being able to disable 3rd party cookies through Safari Mac PC users. Is it possible on the iPhone at all?? Because between ALL my TV streaming apps & gaming apps, I keep seeing adds that I could care less about(which wouldn’t be a big deal if they weren’t constant over & over) & companies I just plain don’t want to support but when I hit ad information it shows I can disable some of the companies through the DAA site but when I attempt to do so it keeps saying I can’t because I have third party cookies enabled & where it tells me to go under safari there’s no advertising options @ all but “limiting cookies”(which still said I couldn’t do it because 3rd party cookies are STILL enabled. Because it’s through my iPhone a new browser isn’t an option for me & after getting rid of those couple companies, I actually don’t mind re-enabling 3rd party cookies(so most of the adds are tailored to me or bearable) but it has to get rid of all my saved passwords etc too?? I just want to temporarily disable them so I can get rid of the constant same adds & those 2 companies I REALLY don’t want to support w/o losing everything! Is this possible?? The DAA (most apps/companies go through for “tailored to you ads”) should just let you disable up to 2-3 companies on the list without having to disable 3rd party cookies period & losing all your saved/wanted info. I don’t understand why they HAVE to make it so difficult😤! But I guess my question is: Is it even possible to disable 3rd party cookies @ all through Apple(specifically iPhones with IOS 12) & if so without losing everything I’ve saved(passwords etc). I saw the list of cookies but u couldn’t delete or keep any. I just wanna get rid of those TWO companies! Help if you can? Or if you know there’s nothing I can do to accomplish this, & why, would be helpful too so I can stop trying! I don’t wanna get into politics or why/who those companies are & I’m seriously not usually political but I just really don’t wanna support them or have to watch their stupid ads either!! Any help is greatly appreciated😁
