iPhone 6 headphone sound

My phone recently got wet and I put it in rice over night. Everything else seems to be working except for the sound and the battery. Everytime I got to listen to something or call someone, I can't hear anything. Everytime I turn the volume up, it says "headphones", but when I plug my headphones in the sound comes back. I really would like to be able to listen without headphones!

It showing headphones without the headphones in means the device is damaged. You need to make a Genius Bar appointment at the nearest Apple Store and see about service. Water damage is not covered under warranty, but you can get an out of waranty replacement. However, given that the iPhone 6 will not support iOS 13 that will be released in the fall, it may be a good time to decide on a new replacement.
