A pair of Bose headphones I've just bought used on eBay show up on my iPhone 6 as RicksBose. I'd like to rename them but when I tap the "i" Name is not an option, just Forget This Device and Sync Contacts. Obviously someone has renamed them in the past, so I figure there must be a way for me to do the same. I've cleared the headphones of Bluetooth devices twice but they still show up as RicksBose. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What is the model of the Bose Headphones in question? Usually all Bose Headphone settings are controlled through the 'Bose Connect' app, found here. I have a pair of QC35 II, and I renamed them using the app.

Sure, when I did it, in the Bose Connect app, the path was Settings -> Name and then the option should be right there. I don't believe they have changed it. I don't have my headphones on me right now so I'm not really able to check myself.

Many Bluetooth devices cannot be renamed.
I appreciate your reply, but since this device has been renamed once I don't see why it can't be renamed again.
Thanks very much for your reply. They're QC 35s. I have that app and searched it looking for a way to change the name but didn't find one. Do you mind telling me just how you did it?
It dawned on me to connect the headphones before going into the app (duh) and once I did I was able to change the name with no problem. Thanks again for your helpful reply.
