I need a new watch band but don't know what size, mine is a 42mm.

I have a series 3 42mm watch but the only bands I see fit the series 4 44mm?

Apple Watch Series 3, watchOS 5

The 44mm bands will fit your 42mm watch. The screen size is different but the band mount is identical.
