iCloud requires iPhone passcode to unlock

When updating my iCloud settings, was asked to enter my iPhone passcode. It asks for a 6-digit passcode but my iPhone has an 8-digit passcode because I have Mobile Iron installed and that requires an 8-digit passcode for security reasons. How do up update iCloud settings when it only allows 6-digit passcodes?

Hey, iPhoneEightDigitCode.

I see that you're using an application to lock the screen of your iPhone. You state that iCloud requires a 6 digit passcode, but this application requires 6. I'm happy to help.

Get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication -- If you're signing in with your Apple ID, it's looking for the two-factor authentication code which is 6 digits. This article shows you how you can receive a verification code to sign in.

Use a passcode with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch -- If the message says it needs the passcode on your iPhone and not an authentication code, you'll need to set one up if you haven't already. If you have, provide that code.

Take care.
