Yes, and it's been going on for a long time. The important thing to remember is that Apple never initiates phone calls with customers.

What I do is just not answer the phone unless I recognize the caller.
Those calls are reported numerous times on a daily basis.
They are scams and should be ignored/blocked.
Apple will not cold call a customer with that "information."
