When I try to listen it says that this song is not available in your region.

On apple music there are about five songs from an album that when I try to listen to say that this song is not available in your region. However I asked my friend who also has itunes and it works for her so I was just wondering why it won’t work for me?

Impossible to say, when you don’t mention the music this is about and the region/country this is about.

If both of you have an Apple Music subscription and the same region settings on your devices and same region for your Apple IDs, then you ought to have access to the same tracks.

However, there may be incidental differences in availability between the music in the iTunes Store catalog, and the music in the Apple Music catalog. That is up to the artists and their record companies.
