How to unpair airpods from iPhone

i know this post aint about iphone xr but didnt find airpods in the category.

so my friend wanted to test my airpods and he connected them to HIS phone.

now i want to remove them from his phone without having to ask him “hey can u please remove my airpods”etc etc

so is that possible ?

Once you reset the AirPods to be able to connect to your phone, they should forget his connection.
