Can't install Xcode 10.2 from App Store because "There is not enough disk space available to install the product"

Hi folks!

I'd like to install Xcode 10.2 from the App Store.

But when I try I get the following message:

"We could not complete your purchase.

There is not enough disk space available to install the product"

The page on App Store says that Xcode needs ~6 GB.

My Macbook (500 GB flash storage) has ~136 GB free.

That means it has at least 20 times more space than needed.

What's the problem?

Any idea how I could solve this?

Never mind, I found it as a downloadable package: https://download.developer.apple.com/Developer_Tools/Xcode_10.2.1/Xcode_10.2.1.xip
